BUILT FOR SURGEONS. DRIVEN BY CARE.

Our Purpose

Oral Surgery Partners (OSP) exists to protect the profession and support the people who shape it. As a surgeon-owned community, OSP uplifts oral surgeons, strengthens practices, and preserves the clinical autonomy that defines high-quality patient care.

How OSP Supports Partners

OSP reduces administrative burden, allowing surgeons to remain focused on patient care. Collaboration is fostered at every stage of a surgeon’s career, while ongoing investment in people, mentorship, and long-term opportunities reinforce a strong sense of ownership and connection across the network.

Our Commitment

Each practice’s legacy is honored, and clinical autonomy is protected. Teams are empowered to grow with confidence through shared knowledge, mentorship, and support for emerging talent. Every decision reflects people-first values and the belief that oral surgery thrives when surgeons lead the way.

How It All Started

2000

Midwest Oral Surgery Begins

Dr. Michael Parsons starts Midwest Oral Surgery with a clear philosophy: care for patients with integrity, support your team, and build something sustainable. From the beginning, decisions are guided by long-term values rather than short-term gains. With a people-first approach, Midwest grows to two locations, with a third expansion underway.

2007

A Partnership Rooted in Trust

After navigating similar challenges in private practice and prior partnerships, Dr. Parsons and Dr. Jeffrey Kratky come together to form a partnership built on trust and shared perspective. Their alignment around patient care, professional autonomy, mutual respect and learning from past experiences becomes the foundation of Midwest Oral Surgery’s culture and success.

I was disillusioned about partnerships. Sitting down and talking to Mike, I thought, maybe I could trust this guy. It felt different.

2007-2015

Practicing with Intention

As Midwest expands across multiple locations, the focus remains steady. Patients come first. Associates are mentored and supported. Referrals are shared equitably. Growth is thoughtful, measured, and built to last. Midwest Oral Surgery expands to 6 locations.

“We wanted associates to be guided, not used. You have to invest in another person, even if it’s a short-term loss, to build something that lasts.”

2015-2016

Looking Ahead

As larger corporate models begin entering the specialty, conversations emerge about the future of oral surgery. Midwest Oral Surgery’s phones begin to ring as offers to sell start rolling in. Rather than reacting, the focus turns to shaping a path forward, one that protects surgeons, staff, and the integrity of patient care.

“We felt responsible for the specialty. If this corporate thing was coming, we wanted to approach it the right way and protect how we practice.”

2018

The Formation of Oral Surgery Partners

Midwest explores partnership opportunities with a clear lens: values must come before valuation. The decision to form Oral Surgery Partners is intentional, centered on preserving surgeon autonomy and supporting practices through shared resources and aligned leadership.

“Values had to come before valuation. We didn’t choose the highest bidder — we chose the partner that aligned with how we believe oral surgery should be practiced.”

2019-2021

Laying the Foundation

Oral Surgery Partners launches during a period of uncertainty, shaped by the realities of building a new organization while navigating COVID. Despite these challenges, OSP grows to five partner practices. Once restrictions lift, the first OSP Summit is held in St. Louis in 2021, bringing those early partners together to share experiences, learn from one another, and reinforce a culture of mentorship that extends beyond individual practices, marking a pivotal moment of connection and shared learning.

“That first summit was humbling. You look around and realize this is bigger than us — people chose to be part of what we built.”

Today

Growing with Purpose

OSP continues to grow with the same principles that guided its start. Each practice remains independent in how it cares for patients, while benefiting from a supportive partnership. With more than 40 practices, 80+ locations, and 140+ surgeons, OSP’s vision remains unchanged: thoughtful growth, shared success, and care that puts people first.
